Our daughter is sick today - she woke us both up at around 3 a.m. crying and then threw up at about 4:15 or so. Seeing as her cousins just got over the stomach flu I’m betting that we’re being hit by it now. Wonderful. :-|
I found out that there’s a local hydroponics place within 20 minutes of me or so. That’s actually pretty cool so I think I’m going to check them out this weekend even if I don’t buy anything. There’s also another one about an hour away that has fairly inexpensive kits. I’m mildly surprised by this but I guess things are changing.
It’s liquid out today so the rest of the snow is almost gone. I hope it stays gone but I know that it’s only mid-February so I don’t have much hope of that.
Blech. I hate dreary days.
(...)
I better stop before I start composing emo poetry. :-/
At least things are moving along in the house. I managed to get the main carpet vacuumed last night and it was fine until my daughter “decorated” it early this morning near the bathroom. Now would be a good time to pull it up and see if there’s a real floor under it or not.
I think the aluminum cans are going out this week. I don’t have the time to save them and recycle them myself so they just have to go. Just like a number of other things I’ve got.
Dammit. Grey days make me want to eat truffle pie and it’s free pie day to-boot. *sigh*
*orders the pie*
Checked into it and I can’t use the twist-off Bawls bottles I have to brew beer with. They just won’t seal properly is what I’m hearing. However I’ve managed to get the Guinness “rocket” out of their bottles in less than a minute per bottle and those bottles are nice and heavy regular crown capped bottles.
The message here is obviously drink more Guinness. ^_^

I'm not prone to throwing up any more but it still happens every once in a while. It happened on Monday but I'm still trying to decide if it was nerves or something I ate or what. :-/

For reusable beer bottles, Grolsch larger (http://www.grolsch.com/) bottles are best. Although their larger is bloody awful.

And I suppose I could use the Grolsch to make beer bread because...yeah...it sucks.

Guinness drinkers might be happy to give them to you, rather than the recyclers.

Hey! You just gave me a great idea! I could go to the recycling place and see if they'll sell me bottles for the cost of the bulk glass! That should be damn inexpensive. :-)
